Prof. Srivastava has completed her B.E. in Electrical Engineering and M.Tech in Heavy Electrical Equipment from Maulana Azad College of Technology [now Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT)] and PhD in Intelligent Control from IIT Delhi. She is associated with the Department of Instrumentation and Control Engineering at Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (NSIT) as a Professor since 2008.
She also worked as Associate Head of Instrumentation & Control Engineering Division and as Dean - Undergraduate studies and Postgraduate studies at NSIT. She was formerly a faculty member at MANIT.
Her research areas include neural networks, fuzzy logic, and hybrid methods in modelling, identification and control of nonlinear systems, biometrics. She has publications in Transactions, journals, conferences and has also given invited talks in this field.
