Course Summary

Robotics for Real-World Application is a state-of-the-art course aimed at all engineering students who aspire to learn the latest trends in the industry. A research by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) has projected that the job market worldwide in the Robotics sector would grow 9% between 2016 and 2026.

In the manufacturing industry, robots are now performing tasks which are dangerous and monotonous. Contrary to conventional belief, instead of replacing jobs robots are helping the existing workforce in making better quality products in a collaborative manner. Apart from applications in the manufacturing industry, robots are playing an increasingly important role in making homes smarter, taking care of elderly people, helping the differently-abled to live a normal life, improving the security and surveillance of airports and other strategically important places, and even taking active part in the armed forces. This course aims to skill manpower to understand this important area.

Hands-On

1. This course requires an institution to setup a Robotics laboratory consisting of the below-mentioned kits. In case, students directly subscribe to this course, then access to the Robotics laboratory should be given by their institution.
