Course Summary

Basic DevOps Engineering introduces the students to the world of DevOps Engineering. The objective of the course is to introduce the students to the principles and philosophies of DevOps and explain the foundational materials for DevOps. The course also introduces the students to the basic DevOps tools that are used in the industry for DevOps Engineering. Also, this course aims to prepare students for the Advanced DevOps course, for which this course is a pre-requisite.

This course introduces students to quality tools like SonarQube and also introduces them to the concept of configuration as code and Ansible as a tool. It also introduces the students to Docker and its necessary details.

As per analysts like Gartner and Forrester, the global DevOps market is currently more than $3.5 billion and is projected to reach more than $10.5 billion by 2024 at the minimum. The CAGR is more than 25%. DevOps is amongst the topmost sought after skills for high paying IT jobs as per leading analyst community in the US and worldwide.

Hands-On

A virtual hands-on environment is integrated within the course. The fully managed environment would be equipped with integrated softwares required for end-to-end development as per the curriculum.

Students will have to leverage this environment to complete the industry assignment as well as to complete Part B of the summative assessment.
