Course Summary
Cloud Architecture is the way technology components combine to build a cloud, in which resources are pooled through virtualization technology and shared across a network. Currently every organisation in different sectors is working to enable their products cloud enabled. Cloud enables any global enterprise to deliver its services in a more user-friendly manner. This course will discuss different types of architecture in cloud. The solutions can be in core system level or in application level. This course will cover a wide range of Cloud System Design and Architecture topics, beginning with their fundamentals.
We are seeing reinvention across almost every industry due to cloud. This is not surprising given that evidence suggests that cloud adoption boosts an organisation’s ability to innovate, reimagine customer experiences, and make high velocity decisions in an increasingly dynamic world. The global cloud computing market size is expected to grow from US $445.3 billion in 2021 to US $947.3 billion by 2026, at a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 16.3% during the forecast period. India is also becoming a home for SaaS businesses; the Indian SaaS ecosystem is now the third largest in the world and is expected to fulfil 11% of the global SaaS demand by 2025, as per a Chiratae-Zinnov Study.
This course covers critical aspect of Cloud Computing with understanding of Compute solution, Virtualization, Cloud Computing Stack, Service Models (XaaS) and Deployment Models, Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), Cloud Load Balancing and Auto scaling, Caching and in-memory data store, Cloud Design Patterns, Other paas services, etc. It will help students stay updated on the latest Cloud Architecture industry trends and practices by accessing resources powered research and experience of teachers.
Hands-On
Students need to create and use their own AWS/Azure account for hands-on.
The above mentioned hands-on configuration will be leveraged by the students to complete the industry assignment as well as to complete Part B of the summative assessment.
