Course Summary

Data Analysis with Excel is a course that will help students gain knowledge and develop skills on Data Analytics and Microsoft Excel software to understand the importance of the software and apply the same in solving analytics problems and generating insights for business decisions. Microsoft Excel is a powerful tool used in data analysis and problem solving which is required by the students for their day-to-day activities in their professional life. This is an inevitable skill set that every graduate should have to progress in their career.

The course starts with basic topics such as Data Handling with Excel, followed by Advanced Data Handling, Data Visualisation and Dashboarding. The course also focusses on descriptive, diagnostic, predictive and prescriptive analytics using Microsoft Excel as a tool.

At the end of the course, the following outcomes are expected:

  1. Students will be able to understand the importance of learning Data Analytics and Microsoft Excel.
  2. Students will be able to develop Spreadsheets and Dashboards to create insights.
  3. Students will be able to appreciate the different tools and techniques offered by Excel software for data analysis and problem solving.
