Course Summary

If a financial business needs to leverage technology to create better financial services, this programme will help students understand disruptions in the Fintech industry across a broad cross-section of products and services, from traditional banking to Blockchain. The goal for students is to create an action plan to foster innovation in one's organisation. Students will learn how Fintech can help them reach untapped markets, reduce costs, create economies of scale, and improve customer experience.

Disruptive Financial Technology is a fast-moving global phenomenon. In 2019, Fintech investments amounted to US$55.3 Billion and Fintech ranked among the top five industries with companies listing US$1 Billion valuation or higher. The Indian Fintech market is expected to reach ₹6,207 Billion by 2025. Fintech's constant innovations demand flexibility, endurance, and risk exposure for financial services companies. This course helps students prepare for the pace of change that is about to be unleashed.

Fintech Primer is a course that covers critical aspects of Fintech along with the understanding of prominent technologies such as API, Blockchain, AI, Machine Learning, RPA, IoT, Big Data and Data Analytics, Cyber Security, and more. The course will help students stay updated on the latest Fintech industry trends and practices by accessing resources powered by research and experience of teachers.

Students/Institutions need to procure the below software required for the industry assignment as well as for Part B of the summative assessment:

Open source Fintech tools

The above mentioned hands-on configuration will be leveraged by the students to complete the industry assignment as well as to complete Part B of the summative assessment.
