Course Summary

Internet of Things (IoT) is an interdisciplinary field, which is more than just smart or connected devices. An IoT technician needs to understand the fundamentals of programming, hardware interaction, working with sensors and various technologies. As per a NASSCOM report, the IoT market in India is poised to reach US$15 billion by 2020, accounting for 5% of the global market.

The IoT Technician course is designed to help students understand the basic framework and architecture of IoT, along with a brief overview of the elements involved in IoT implementation. Students will be exposed to the intricacies and issues related to IoT development. They will also gain knowledge on various technologies and protocols involved in IoT, followed by a hands-on exercise.

Hands-On

  • Students/Institutions need to procure the below physical kit(s) required for the industry assignment as well as for Part B of the summative assessment:
    1. a. Arduino Uno kit
    2. b. ESP32 kit
  • The above-mentioned hands-on configuration will be leveraged by the students to complete the industry assignment as well as to complete Part B of the summative assessment.
