Course Summary

According to PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) estimates, the cyber security market in India is expected to grow from USD 1.97 billion in 2019 to USD 3.05 billion by 2022, at a Compound Annual Growth rate (CAGR) of 15.6%, almost one and a half times the global rate.

Today as more and more businesses go online, the number of cyber attacks has soared as evidenced by high-profile data breaches, ransomware or distributed denial-of-service (DoS) attacks. This situation calls for developers and managers with skills to strengthen online systems against cyber attacks and make systems secure. This course aims to achieve that goal by thoroughly covering the basics of common cyber attacks, their defences and common security good practices in the real-world.

Practical Approach to Cyber Security is a course that helps students to empower and enhance their proficiency in cyber security. It provides guidance on cyber security trends, industry best practices, protective measures against cyber threats, and more.

Hands-On

A virtual hands-on environment is integrated within the course.

Students will have to leverage this environment to complete the industry assignment as well as to complete the Part B section of the summative assessment.
