Yashavant Kanetkar has created, moulded and groomed lakhs of IT careers in the last two and a half decades through his books and Quest Video Courseware DVDs on C, C++, Data Structures, VC++, .NET, Embedded Systems, etc. His books and Quest DVDs have made a significant contribution in creating top-notch IT manpower in India and abroad. His books are globally recognised and millions of students/professionals have benefitted from them. These books have been translated into Hindi, Gujarati, Japanese, Korean and Chinese languages and are published in India, USA, Japan, Singapore, Korea and China. He is a much sought-after speaker in the IT field and has conducted several seminars/workshops at TEDx, IITs, RECs and global software companies. He has been honoured with the prestigious "Distinguished Alumnus Award" by IIT Kanpur for his entrepreneurial, professional, and academic excellence. This award is given to the top 50 alumni of IIT Kanpur who have made significant contribution towards their profession and for the betterment of society in the last 50 years. He has been awarded the "Best NET Technical Contributor" and "Most Valuable Professional" awards by Microsoft for 5 successive years for his contribution towards the Indian IT Education. Anirban Bhar is currently working as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Institute of Bioinformatics, University Medicine Greifswald, Germany. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from Institute of Bioinformatics, Georg-August University, Goettingen, Germany. He has a Bachelor and Master’s Degree from West Bengal University of Technology and University Of Kalyani respectively. His previous experience includes 10+ years of teaching at multiple institutes/universities across India such as NIIT University, Bennett University, Heritage Institute of Technology, and more. His areas in teaching and research learning includes Data Mining, Machine Learning, Evolutionary Computing and Computational Biology. Along with managing multiple academic projects he has attended numerous workshops and has six publications in journals and conferences. Anirban has been invited as a Guest faculty at multiple institutions and he has also presented his work at many international conferences. He was awarded with the Certificate of Merit in Mathematics from “Science Aptitude and Talent Search Test”, organised by ALL INDIA SCIENCE AND TEACHERS’ ASSOCIATION and was nominated for the fellowship of Erasmus Mundus External Cooperation Window, Lot 13 – India – EURINDIA project for pursuing doctoral studies in Göttingen, Germany.
