1. Is there any negative marking for an incorrect answer and can I request for a re-evaluation of my score? +

There is no negative marking for incorrect answers, neither can you request for a re-evaluation of score. The decision of the evaluation panel would be final.

2. What skills will be tested in the exam? +

The exam will be conducted in 2 parts, Part A will test your theoretical knowledge and Part B will test your assessing knowledge.

3. Is there a validity period for the certification? +

The certification is valid for 1 year from "Date of Issue" mentioned on the Skill Assessment Record.

4. Can I appear for multiple TCS iON Cert-n-Edge assessments on the same date? +

No. In case you have purchased multiple TCS iON Cert-n-Edge assessments, please ensure that you choose an assessment date that is not conflicting with the other TCS iON Cert-n-Edge assessment(s).

5. What is the exam retake policy? +

In case a candidate fails to clear the assessment, he/she can register for the next assessment as per the assessment schedule. There is no restriction on the number of registrations for a candidate.

6. Will I get a refund if I am not able to appear for the exam after having paid for it? +

There is no refund policy. If a candidate fails to take the assessment at the scheduled time, he/she may reappear for the assessment after paying the applicable fees.

7. What is the mode of payment? +

The mode of payment is through the online payment gateway. You can use Net Banking, Credit Card or Debit Card to make the payment.

8. How does this certification help me? +

This certification will enable you to get empanelled with TCS and ASDC as an automotive skill assessor. Through this empanelment, you will be allocated candidates to be assessed and will be remunerated on a per candidate basis.

9. What is the role of an empanelled automotive skill assessor? +

As an empanelled automotive skill assessor you will be allocated videos of the practical scenarios executed by candidates. You will be given access to the TCS iON Digital Marking Solution, where you will be expected to evaluate the practical scenarios based on marking rubrics.

10. What are the benefits of enrolling as an automotive skill assessor? +

The benefits of enrolling as an automotive skill assessor are as under:

11. What is the process of enrolment to become an automotive skill assessor? +

The enrolment process to become an automotive skill assessor is below:

Step 1: Click on the link https://learning.tcsionhub.in/lifelonglearning/he/cert-n-edge/automotive/assessor/ and register yourself by paying ₹ 1,299 (This amount will be recovered by assessing just 4 assessments)
Step 2: Select the location (e.g.: Delhi) at which you wish to appear for the test
Step 3: Appear for the test (approx. 60 mins in advance) at the given location

12. What preparation does a prospective assessor have to do before appearing for the test? +

The prospective automotive skill assessor has to go to My Dashboard -> My Products and go through the enrolled course to prepare for the assessment.

13. What are the steps after registration? What is the process for assessment of the assessors who are registered? +

The steps after registration are listed below:

Step 1: Examination hall ticket will be issued by TCS with the location mentioned
Step 2: Appear for the automotive skill assessor examination
Step 3: Those who have cleared the examination successfully would be onboarded as TCS automotive skill assessors
Step 4: Pilot assessments would be given to you initially, and the quality level of your assessment will be vetted by the ASDC SMEs

14. Does an assessor have to travel to assess candidates? +

No, you do not need to travel for assessing the candidates. You can login to the TCS iON Digital Marking solution from anywhere, anytime.

15. What is the estimated time to assess a candidate? How will the assessor be remunerated? +

The estimated time to assess a candidate is approx. 30 minutes. The assessor would be remunerated a fixed sum, on a per candidate assessed basis.
