1. What is the eligibility criteria for taking TCS iON Sharpener? +

Students of Grades 6, 7 and 8 can take the relevant topic level tests for Science.

2. What is the structure of the test? +

The test focusses on checking the conceptual understanding of a student with Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and offers feedback through Analysis Reports - Learning Reflections Report for students and Teaching Reflections Report for teachers and the school management.

3. How is TCS iON Sharpener different from other practice test products? +

A criterion-referenced test with standardised grading based on learning indicators for the specific grade level.
The Learning Reflections Report shows the student’s performance on a given topic and highlights the focus areas the student has to prepare on to achieve further, along with a detailed attempt-wise analysis for corrective feedback.
Question-wise analysis gives a detailed explanation for every incorrect answer along with key concepts to fill in the conceptual gaps, if any.

4. How can a student register for TCS iON Sharpener? +

Login with your TCS iON Digital Learning Hub credentials or register as a new user.
Select the topic(s) you want to purchase and click on "Buy Now" in the TCS iON Sharpener product page, then go to "My Cart" to check-out and buy the product.

Select the topic(s), click on "Activate Now" in the TCS iON Sharpener product page and enter the licence code to activate your product(s).

5. When can the students take the tests that have been purchased? +

Once the tests have been purchased, they will be immediately available under My Dashboard-> My Products section. Two attempts are available per test. However, if the students have taken the first attempt of a test, they would need to wait for 5 days before the second attempt is available. This is to give adequate time to students to revise the topic(s), based on their performance in the first attempt.

6. When will the student receive the Learning Reflections Report? +

The student will receive the Learning Reflections Report post completion of the test.

7. When will the school receive the Teaching Reflections Report? +

The school will receive the Teaching Reflections Report on a weekly basis.
